New Announcements for 2010:
No Classes May 13th & 14th:
Please note that there will be no class Thursday & Friday, May 13 -14. We have been invited as guest teachers for the Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University.
Spring Performances:
The Northeast Academy of Dance proudly presents "Moving Pictures" June 12 & 13.
Both performances are at 7pm and will be help at the Oscoda High School Auditorium. The program
highlights include Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, Ravel's "Bolero", a contemporary modern dance to
Steve Reich's "Tehillim", and solo danced by NEAD co-director Scott Heinrich. Tickets are $12 adults,
$10 seniors, and $5 students.
Congratulations to our students who have been accepted to the following dance programs:
- Kula Batangan has been accepted to the Rudra Ballet
School in Lausanne, Switzerland. Congratulations on this
exceptional achievement!
- Kali Skodack has been accepted into the four-week
Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp ensemble dance program with a $900 scholarship
- Allison Armfield has been accepted into the Joffrey Ballet School Summer
Intensive Program for eight weeks in New York City
